Welcome to Year 5

In Year 5, we embrace the school values - REACH.

We strive to be the best we can be, enjoy making the most of a variety of learning opportunities and have fun during our time together at school.

"I have come that they may have life and have it to the full!" John 10:10

We support each other to grow, and reach our potential.

In Year 5, we are supported by:

  • Mrs Territt     - Class Teacher
  • Miss Roads    - Teaching Assistant

On our class page you will find useful documents (see folder)  relating to:

  • our timetable
  • useful resources including recommended reading lists and links to websites to support learning in school, and
  • home learning
  • relevant notices for upcoming Year 5 events.

Please follow this link for the Parent Information presentation for Year 5.

As always, if you have any questions at any time, please do not hesitate to speak to us or you can message via Seesaw/email.  Please also keep monitoring your parentmail accounts and Seesaw for regular announcements and updates.

Summer Term

We will continue to develop our skills in historical enquiry through - studying the fascinating topic of Ancient Greece, whilst also widening our geographical knowledge of the world and developing mapping skills.

In Science we will undertake a number of investigations through our unit on electricity - including designing a burglar alarm and an electonic game!

We also look forward to our trip to Ascot Racecourse on the 6th May where the children will develop their understanding of how maths is used in a variety of contexts in a fun and engaging way.

Our lessons on PSHE will focus on 'Being my Best' and 'Growing and Changing'.  Look out on  Seesaw for a video on the latter about what we will cover so you can continue these discussions at home.
